Offices, nursery, sofas.

Below are his and her offices. They share the floor lamp.
Floor lamp from Anthropologie
Drafting table from World Market
Book shelf and rug from Pottery Barn
Copenhagen chair from Restoration Hardware
Bar cart from Crate & Barrel (because every "his" office needs one)

Rug, newspaper covered phone, wallpaper, and floor lamp from Anthropologie
Side table, office chair, and butterfly chair from CB2
Parsons desk from West Elm

I also created a look for a neutral nursery, which is what I eventually plan on doing when the time comes. I want the room to be cohesive with the rest of the house rather than a clearly childish room.
Crib and bedding from Restoration Hardware
Rug from Urban Outfitters (I like that it's a little more visually interesting than the classic chevron)
Sofa from Home Decorators
Chandelier from Pottery Barn (it's pretty clear that this a girl's nursery)
Cushions from Pottery Barn (although I believe these are holiday cushions, I think it still works year round for a child's room given the woodland creatures motif)

Finally, below is just a collect of green sofas that would look great in any room!

Bedroom Reorganized.

The master bedroom in our home is an oddly large space that could easily be overstuffed with furniture, which is exactly what happened. Let's just say there were 2.5 couches in there. I have been wanting to reorganize the furniture in that room for nearly a year now, and we finally did it a couple of days ago!

Before pictures:

We basically flipped the "living room" area and the bed around to the other sides.

After pictures:

We also took out the linen settee and it's now making an appearance as our dining table's end seat:

On the other side of the world.

One of the reasons there was a lag in my posts this summer is because we were in China for 5 weeks and blogger is not viewable there. Being there, however, reminded me that I wanted to post some pictures of my room at my mother's place in Beijing. I decorated this room about several years ago so bare in mind that damask was in back then. Nevertheless, I still like the clean black and white room.

My husband and I painted the silhouettes on the window covering.

Guest, Bath, Ikea, and more.

Below are some more room ideas: guest room, "ghost" room, bathroom, respectively. The last one is some must-have pieces from Ikea.
Rug and pouf from West Elm.
Side table and bedding from Anthropologie.
Side table cart from Ikea.
Bed and wall sconce from Restoration Hardware.
Eames chair (love!).
I've always wanted a "ghost" room, with dark blue striped walls and all clear/acrylic furniture. Especially the Louis ghost armchair. Other side tables, coffee table, and wall cube from CB2.
Sink and shelf from Restoration Hardware.
Flower rug from Anthropologie.
Quite impressed by all of these Ikea pieces. My thoughts are that Ikea furniture can look great with more quality, upscale pieces if paired correctly.

Living and lounge rooms.

It's been so long since I've written anything. Over half a year in fact, but I have a new idea for my posts. I'm always thinking about ideas for rooms and I've decided that instead of posting pictures of random things I like, I should just post idea pages for rooms.

Here are the first couple of rooms. The first one is something I made for my friend who is moving to a new house. This page contains some ideas for her living room. The second picture is of a reading/lounge room I want in the near future.

Present Update.

In the last post I had a picture of my old ring that I wanted to have resized and redesigned. Well, I got it back and I love it! Here are the before (just as a refresher) and after pictures:

A close up of it. And I turned the third small diamond into an earring stud.

I also posted this Madewell dress in the last post and below is a picture of me wearing it with a cropped cardigan from Anthropologie.

Here is the picture of the sweater I bought from Anthropologie that I plan on pairing with the tulle skirt I bought, also Anthro, in the picture below.

Due to the fact that I did receive and buy quite a few presents this year, I don't plan on shopping for awhile. We'll see how that works out...haha.
