New Sofa!

We got our new sofa delivered over this past week and now the living room furniture pieces are just about completed. We also finally got our end table! So just as a reminder, I posted some pictures of what the living room USED to look like, and what it looks like currently:

Before. This is where my dining table is now.

Before, obviously.

Now with the new sofa!

I moved the chairs around so they're no longer side by side, but in more of a circular conversational form.

Close up of sofa. It's amazingly deep with the softest cushions!

New side table!

I brought out a floor lamp that was in the master bedroom before. The living room needed more light because the two edison lightbulbs are just not bright enough. This will suffice until I can find the perfect spotlight floor lamp.

Now all that need to be done in the living room is freshly painted walls. I'm thinking some shade of taupe. We also need to create the art wall so that Matt can have his original Empire Strikes Back Star Wars poster up (with nice, customized wooden frames so as not to look tacky).

I'm also considering this ottoman:

This is just a corner of the master bedroom where I have my perfume collection displayed. I rarely use them, but I love how beautiful some of the bottles are. One of my favorite is Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue because it just smells fresh and clean. I have stopped collecting them for awhile now because I don't even know what I'm doing with all of them. However, I do want Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle.

I gave our old sofa new life with a fresh blue slipcover. It's now in the retreat area of the master bedroom. I had to rearrange some furniture.

A light turquoise vintage desk I bought at the Long Beach Antique Market.

Another side table next to the sofa from the Long Beach Antiques where I have decapitated doll parts in teacups. That black bejeweled skull is an actual working telephone.
